Bank of Ghana to issue 630 million cedi 3-year bond on May 21

Ghana’s central bank will issue a three-year 630 million cedi ($158 million) bond on May 21 to raise funds to settle growing debts, the head of West African nation’s treasury said on Monday.

The auction, open to offshore investors, is part of the government’s debt restructuring plan, Yao Abalo made it clear, adding that settlement will be on May 26.
