Baby rescued from public toilet

Police in Mamponteng in the Kwabre, East district of the Ashanti region have rescued a newly born baby from a public Toilet.

According to the Police, they received a call from a resident who found the baby when she visited the facility.

With his umbilical cord yet to be cut off, residents were certain that, the mother of the baby dumped him into the latrine after delivery.

The baby has been sent to the Adanwomaso hospital where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile, residents have embarked on a search for the mother who is believed to be either in the neighbourhood or came from another town to dump the baby.
